House Collapsed in Clacton, Essex in Suspected Gas Explosion
A man has been pulled from the rubble of house which collapsed following an explosion in the early hours of the morning.
He was freed by firefighters after a rescue dog found him trapped under the debris of the property in Clacton, Essex.
A family of four was also rescued from the roof of the building and firefighters also saved a woman from inside who was treated for serious burns.
Police and fire crews were called to the house, divided into three flats, in the early hours of the morning.
The road was closed and some 60 residents evacuated from their homes.
Assistant Divisional Officer Martyn Hare, of Essex Fire and Rescue Service, said: "We believe there has been a gas explosion which has caused substantial collapse in a house which has been converted into flats. Read More
